Kwasi Kyei Darkwah (KKD) Arrested On Rape Allegation

Showbiz and fashion icon Kwasi Kyei Darkwah has been taken to the crime scene where he is alleged to have raped a lady.

The CEO and Founder of the Finest Productions was earlier questioned in connection with the alleged sexual assault complaint lodged against him by one Effe.

His Lawyer Nana Asante Bediatuo and some friends and family swamped the Police station in solidarity with the former radio presenter.

The circumstances surrounding KKD's arrest are sketchy but information picked up by StarrFMonline.com indicate that he was picked up at the African Regent hotel at the Airport residential area Sunday.

It is, however, not clear if the sexual incident between KKD and the complainant took place at the same Hotel.

While KKD insists the girl consented to the sexual intercourse between them, the complainant has stuck to her grounds claiming she was raped by the former radio presenter.

Nana Asante Bediatuo, Counsel for showbiz and fashion icon Kwasi Kyei Darkwah, has described as “false and ridiculous”, an allegation of rape leveled against the former radio presenter.

“It is not true that he has raped anybody. He had a consensual relationship with a woman and for some reason – I don’t know and I don’t care what her motive is – she now claims it’s rape but that is false,” Bediatuo told Starr FM’s Osei Owusu Amankwaah in an exclusive interview Sunday.

Florence Epee from Cameroon who wowed the crowd on the night of 21st December, left Nigeria with the Miss West Africa International 2014 title, succeeding to the former queen Hawa Kamara, Miss West Africa International 2013.

Miss West Africa USA, Lily Ogechi Udumukwu originally from Nigeria, scooped the 1st Runners up and Annarosa Traoré Assita, Miss West Africa Mali 2014 left as the 2nd Runners up.

The event which was sponsored by the Swiss Spirit Hotel saw contestants from Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Niger, Togo, Mali, Senegal, Sao Tome and Ivory Coast.

On the day there was a very flawed line of judging by judges called up by D Sinatra Ents, organizers of Miss West Africa International 2014 in Nigeria. A number of judges seemed to have forced upon the other judges Miss West Africa Nigeria 2014 into the finals as well as having her announced as the winner, this was not only rejected by the crowd but also by the CEO of Miss West Africa International.

“Racheal (Miss West Africa Nigeria 2014) is a great and very beautiful girl, but it was very obvious she was far from the most impressive on the day, I felt slightly similar about the situation last year, and regretted for a whole year that it was not opposed, I will not let that happen again. I understand when there is a little difference of opinions, but it does raise questions when the judges results are totally different from the crowds expectations.

A Piece of Peace : Christmas - The Time Of New Beginnings

It is that time of the year again. Yes faith builders, Christmas is here and today I would like to share with you on a very simple, yet important topic “Christmas - the time of new beginnings

Like many of us, I am sure this year has had its fair share of challenges and difficulties, but guess what? You are still here! This means despite all the negativity and uncertainties this year, another wonderful season is upon us and you are lucky to be here to make a difference in someone’s life.

As we get ready for this festive season, it is important to be thankful to God this season for his many blessings.

Everyday is a new beginning. Treat it that way. Stay away from what might have been and move on. Don’t let negative words or actions of others affect your smile. Decide that today is going to be a good day.

With every roadblock, a detour is built. With every ending, a new beginning is defined. Embracing a challenge makes life interesting but overcoming it makes life meaningful. You cannot start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one.

The gift of Christmas is a precious reminder that we are loved. To show appreciation for that wonderful love God has given us, let us learn how to extend that love to every single person around us.

George Quaye Warns Viasat 1 Ghana

The reason which led TV3 presenter Nana Aba Anamoah to vent her anger on Viasat 1 TV station has also made PRO for Charterhouse, George Quaye popularly known as Aboagye to warn the TV station which is mocking their colleagues in JIGWE Awards.

The Pundit Host in a Facebook post sent a caution to fans and workers of Viasat 1 not to watch the next edition of “The Pundit” which airs on Tuesdays.

He added that there is noway GhOne will keep quiet and look on for people to mock them.

Viasat 1 nominated GhOne together with UTV, TV3 and others for their copy-cut category in their ongoing JIGWE Awards. Not only were they nominated for that category, Blackboi and Naa Ashorkor all of GhOne also had nominations as LAFA Presenters in the awards.

I really don’t know who asked our good friends at Viasat Ghana to swim across sharks while bleeding.

All I can say is, I wouldn’t watch next Tuesdays edition of THE PUNDITS if I were them.‪#‎awardsfun‬. “…when you prick us, do we not bleed? When you tickle us, do we not laugh? And if you wrong us, shall we not revenge…? William Shakespeare… lol. Can’t wait for Tuesday.

Gospel Singer, Gifty Osei Says Her Hairdresser Insulted Her Over A Music Video Without Knowing She Was The One

The things that Ghanaian stars go through! Gospel singer, Gifty Osei in a candid interview with Graphic Showbiz, shared some heartbreaking criticisms she face from the public via facebook and well, even at the hair salon:

“I am sometimes forced to ask God why I should be made to tolerate all the unkind words from people; the same people for whom I sing words of encouragement and upliftment. I ask myself if I should go on with this ministry because at times the insults are just too much and I wish I could do something about it”, she told Showbiz last Friday.

“You know, unfortunately I cannot respond to all those negative things they write about me because, I am a public figure and if I do, I may be doing exactly the same things they do.  People talk about things they have no idea about, they talk like they live in the same house with me and it is very unfortunate that we have to go through all that.

The curious how they forget that despite stardom, we are also humans with blood running through our veins and so we also get hurt and feel bad about gossip and untruths peddled aroun us”, she said.

Wanlov The Kubolor Reviews Lauryn Hill’s Concert In Ghana

As much as Cypress Ghana wished to be present to update you on what happened during this year’s Afrobeats festival, Wanlov the Kubolor does a review and a special one on the performance of legendary performer, Lauryn Hill.

Read from below what the “Kokonsa” hitmaker wrote;

Miss Lauryn Hill is a god that many have tried to kill with their selfish words over the years…saying stuff like “she has lost it”, “she’s not pleasing the fans”, etc…I started to believe them till I recently read a piece by Talib Kweli that made me realise she was like me…she does not like doing what people expect of her…it makes her craft dull to her to her real fans over time.

Last weekend I got to confirm this assumption for myself thanks to the 2nd Annual BBNZ Afrobeats 3-day Festival sponsored by Club Beer. Before I get to Lauryn’s performance I must say I really enjoyed my performance, but not as much as the crowd did.

Also I was so happy to meet MI Abaga & hear him perform on stage with XO Zenavoe, I loved what EFYA wore so much and was sad she performed late, even though she was the perfect closer to the festival, and I cut my foot on glass because I got way too turnt up when Sarkodie came on stage right after Lauryn Hill so I watched the rest of the performances from a chair as I lost one calabash of blood.
