Thursday, March 28th, 2024 at the Grand Arena of the Accra
International Conference Centre.</i></b><p><br />During the launch the
nominees for this year's awards will be announced. Apart from that there
will also be the announcement of a new headline sponsor for the awards.<br /><br /><b><i>(1) The 25th Anniversary Launch</i></b><br /><br />The
Ghana Music Awards Festival has grown to become the biggest and most
prestigious event on the Ghanaian entertainment scene. Since 2000 the
awards scheme has become the pivot on which the music industry spins.
The objective has been simple; to identify, recognise and reward
outstanding achievements in the music industry.<br /><br />The scheme is
made up an Academy which is made up of DJs, presenters, producers and
the likes, A board, made up of industry expert and the general public.
For 24 years, the scheme has held the Music, the people and the culture
of Ghana. The 25th anniversary launch will have in attendance, industry
key players, the media, musicians and music makers on Thursday, 28th
March 2024. <br /><br /><b><i>(2) The Nominees Unveil</i></b><br /><br />Since
the submission deadline, the board, research team, and the GMA
secretariat have been diligently reviewing the works from 2023. This
process involves meticulous listening, reviews, and extensive analysis
of data, lyrics, and production quality. It is a moment of excitement
and anticipation, as artists and their fans eagerly hope to see their
names among the chosen few. The nominees represent the best of the best
in the various music categories in the industry.<span></span></p><a name='more'></a><br /><br />The Twist;
Unlike previous years where a bulk of the categories are unveiled on the
hour by the hour during the day, the 25thanniversary takes a different
trajectory. All categories will be unveiled at the event. Who makes it
to what category? Which artiste makes history? All these will be
answered on Thursday, 28th March.<br /><br /><b><i>(3) Sponsor Announcement</i></b><br /><br />For
a few years into the 25th Anniversary, Vodafone Ghana has been the
title sponsor of the Ghana Music Awards, hence the name Vodafone Ghana
Music Awards (VGMA). <br /><br />It comes as no surprise that conversations
have sparked following the recent announcement of the name change from
Vodafone to Telecel. The question being asked by industry players is
‘how does the name change affect the Ghana Music Awards? Is there a new
title sponsor? What will it be called now? The Sponsor announcement is
set to made on Thursday, 28th March, 2024.<br /><br />The event will witness
thrilling performances from some of the finest Ghanaian musicians.
Ghana Music Awards is a Charterhouse Ghana initiative.<p></p>CYPRESS ENT.http://www.blogger.com/profile/18013819850074136379noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4821309777769017184.post-6612952434840729042024-03-20T20:40:00.006+00:002024-03-20T20:40:59.667+00:00The Equalizer Returns For The Third Season On Universal TV<p><b><i></i></b></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b><i><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBCiXpdguIV1dWsU_2buehA_IjTBSJj-KEdHgfVCT_OXOYed_cWufFALIIg3vxXMNXsIYEnctd4hyphenhypheneCIr6268C2neY5bMCsDqdoOFVtcKC4ETaOoOOFyRygP4QY_LlBf-N_CAXy51x30dzuAyZQI5JeuIjOmKNPjw6mpr3Xn9frInZoWAM6SWTHG_5olQ/s6000/The%20Equalizer%20S3%20-%203.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="6000" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBCiXpdguIV1dWsU_2buehA_IjTBSJj-KEdHgfVCT_OXOYed_cWufFALIIg3vxXMNXsIYEnctd4hyphenhypheneCIr6268C2neY5bMCsDqdoOFVtcKC4ETaOoOOFyRygP4QY_LlBf-N_CAXy51x30dzuAyZQI5JeuIjOmKNPjw6mpr3Xn9frInZoWAM6SWTHG_5olQ/w640-h426/The%20Equalizer%20S3%20-%203.jpeg" width="640" /></a></i></b></div><b><i><br />The Equalizer is set to return for its highly anticipated third season, exclusively on Universal TV. </i></b><br /><br />The show stars Queen Latifah as Robyn McCall, Lorraine Toussaint as Viola “Aunt Vi” Marsette, Tory Kittles as Detective Marcus Dante, Adam Goldberg as Harry Keshegian, Liza Lapira as Melody “Mel” Bayani, and Laya DeLeon Hayes as Delilah. <br /><br />The new season consists of 18, one-hour episodes airing every Friday at 6pm from 29 March 2024 on Universal TV (<b><i>DStv channel 117/ GOtv channel 138</i></b>). We are proud to be shaping Africa’s creative industries and excitedly look forward to working with this year’s cohort” <br /><br />Since its establishment in 2018, the MTF Academies across Africa have produced over 200 qualified young filmmakers, who are now taking African stories to the world. An MTF survey found that around 92% of MTF Academy graduates go on to work in the creative sector. <br /><br />“As Africa’s most loved storyteller, MultiChoice sees the MTF Academy as an investment in our business and the future of our industry,” says Babatunde. “Many MTF graduates later join MultiChoice productions, while others start their own businesses and become our partners and suppliers in the industry.”<br /><br />The rich experience at the MTF is made possible through partnerships. In West Africa, the MTF Academy curriculum is designed in partnership with one of Nigeria’s most prestigious universities the Pan Atlantic University (PAU) in Lagos, which confers qualifications to students upon completion of the programme. <br /><br />On the international scene, partnerships with the world-renowned New York Film Academy (NYFA) and Zee World, one of Nigeria’s most loved Bollywood channels, contributes in significantly enriching the learning experience of MTF students. The final stage of the course sees students developing feature films for broadcast on MultiChoice’s local channels and Showmax. <br /><br />This year’s MTF Academy intake follow in the footsteps of several highly successful cohorts of students who have won awards, had their work shown on major platforms and gone on to great career success. <br /><br />Three productions from the MTF Class of 2023 students The Delectable Azeezah Sama, Dark Echoes, and With Love from Bayelsa received nominations at international film festivals.
