Photos: Sonnie Badu (@SonnieBaduuk) Brings Christmas Cheer To Ten Widows In Ghana

Ghanaian international gospel musician, Sonnie Agyemang Badu has put a smile on the faces of 10 widows in the country.

The musician on Christmas eve, Dec 24 spiced up the Christmas celebrations of the widows by donating assorted items and cash to each of the widows and prayed for them.

Explaining his reasons for donating to widows instead of his yearly donation to orphans, Sonnie Badu explained that most people remember orphans and children during Christmas but turn to forget widows in the society.

“This year my management and I decided to remember these widows and put a smile on their faces. We want them to feel loved and comforted even as they go through their mourning moments”, he reiterated.

The ten widows who could not hide their joy due to the kind gesture also blessed Sonnie individually; prophesying greatness into his music ministry.

Last year, as a way of bringing Christmas to the deprived in society and putting a smile on their faces, Sonnie Badu feted three institutions in the country.

The institutions that benefited from that kind gesture were the Help Age Ghana, the Boys and Girls Correctional Home, also known as Osu Shelter and the Surgical ward of the 37 Military Hospital. He promised to support the Osu Correctional and Juvenile Centre.

At each of the institution Sonnie presented bags of rice, oils, detergents, confectioneries and an undisclosed amount of money. In addition inmates of the various institutions were feted with cooked rice, drinks and snacks.

The award winning gospel musician, during this year’s donation, used the occasion to talk about his new album, ‘Soundz of Africa’ which will be released in March 2015.Also he and his management are preparing feverishly to give Ghanaians the “Africa Worships Concert”  next year in three different regions; Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi.
