The Black Stars handed Togo a 3-1 defeat at the Tamale Sports Stadium on Wednesday to book a place in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
Abdul Majeed Waris headed in from a cross sent in by Mubarak Wakaso in the 22nd minute to score for the Black Stars for the first time since October 2013.

Togo pulled one back after recess through Jonathan Ayittey in the 48th minute but stand-in Captain Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, who was later replaced by Edwin Gyimah, stretched the lead for Ghana with a goal in the 68th minute.
Christian Atsu came on for fellow winger Solomon Asante. Togo captain Emmanuel Adebayor was yellow carded in the 70th minute after fouling Jonathan Mensah.
