The ONE Campaign has brought together Akon (Senegal) Fally Ipupa (DRC) , Diamond (Tanzania) Angélique Kidjo (Benin), Femi Kuti, Desmond Elliot and Ice Prince (Nigeria); Mafikizolo and T-bo Touch (South Africa), Victoria Kimani (Kenya), Magasco (Cameroon) to Liberia to demand that world leaders do more – and quickly – to fight the Ebola epidemic in West Africa. They are joined by nurses from Sierra Leone, who treated Ebola patients.
The video, which is completely silent, highlights how the world waited while Ebola ravaged West Africa, and how we cannot wait to invest in the health sector to prevent similar tragedies in the future.

It is a reminder that the world’s initial response to the Ebola outbreak was a failure—that global leaders waited too long to act, and over 5,000 paid with their lives as a result.
The video ends with a call to action for citizens to sign ONE’s petition demanding global leaders do what’s necessary to end the outbreak and strengthen basic health care systems in developing countries.
The video will be exclusively launched tomorrow, Wednesday 18 November. A press statement will be issued to go with the release.
We would be happy to have your outlet exclusively carry the news of this release tomorrow and I am happy to talk to you more on this.
