Hundreds Storm e-Ananse 'By The Fireside' At Osu

Hundreds of Ghanaians from across the country last Saturday gathered at the e-Ananse library located at Osu for the return of ‘By the fireside’.

Veteran Ghanaian actress, Grace Omaboe, teamed up with the old cast of the local television show, 'By the fireside' to thrill audience with stage performances.

Given a new lease of life, e-Ananse libraries spearheaded the return of ‘By the fireside’ and honoured the veteran actress as well on the night.

The night saw performances such as spoken word, cultural dance, folk music to the excitement of the crowd.

The event was designed to also provide an opportunity for everyone present to discuss with the cast, some aspects of the show they enjoyed in times past.

Maame Dokono during her stage performance on the night cautioned patrons gathered against the act of being greedy. Leave a life devoid of greed. Work hard and all goodness would come to you''.

‘By the Fire Side’, a monthly live storytelling session organized by e-Ananse Libraries is an evening of fun and entertainment, aimed at reviving the beautiful art of Ghanaian storytelling.

‘By the Fire Side’ is held every last Saturday of every month and the next event is in January 2020 at e-Ananse Library at Osu.
