Logos Hope, the world’s largest floating book fair, is returning to Tema after her last visit in 2010. As the ship heads to the Caribbean, Ghana will be the last stop in Africa and only stop in West Africa. Crewmembers are really geared up about visiting Tema again to close this tour of Africa.
Logos Hope will arrive in Tema on 07th September and will be berthed at Tema port (Clinker Ghacem Gate). During the previous visit, 116,200 visitors were welcomed up the gangway across two ports in Ghana. “We are excited for the return of Logos Hope to Ghana. We remember the welcome and hospitality received at our last visit in July and August 2010,” said Captain Tom Dyer (USA).”

Logos Hope’s on board book fair offers an expanded selection of over 5,000 different titles at affordable prices. They cover a range of subjects including science, sports, hobbies, cookery, arts, medicine, languages and philosophy. With children’s titles, academic texts, dictionaries, atlases and more, the book fair is something the whole family can enjoy.
Additionally, the rest of the Visitor Experience Deck is also open for the public to explore. From the Welcome Area, which introduces the new vessel through a short movie and interactive displays, to the International Café, which has ice cream, drinks and snacks for sale, there is sure to be something for everyone.
MV Logos Hope is operated by GBA Ships e.V., an international, charitable organization registered in Germany. Since 1970, the organization has welcomed over 45 million visitors up the gangways in over 150 countries and territories around the world.
MV Logos Hope will open to the public at Tema Port (Clinker Ghacem Gate) from 7th September to 2nd October 2016. Opening hours are: On Mondays closed; Tuesday through Saturdays from 10 am – 8:30 pm; On Sundays from 2 pm – 8:30 pm on Sundays. Entrance fee hasn’t been confirmed yet.
