The minster of Tourism Culture and Creative Arts Mrs. Elizabeth Ofosu- Adjare has stated that the Oxford Street Fair will be an event celebrated on the Ghanaian tourism calendar every year.
The fair established by Street Fairs International will help boost the tourism credentials of the city of Accra as well as provide employment opportunities to the youth of Accra, In a meeting with the organizers of the fair, the minister expresses her enthusiasm at the level patronage of the maiden edition one which she personally visited and encourage local businesses to take advantage of the opportunities presented at the fair to promote their businesses and show what Ghana has to offer.
She praised the fair as a refreshing scene on the Osu oxford street and encouraged the organisers to introduce the fair in other parts of Accra and the entire country. The Oxford Street Fair is biggest shopping festival in Accra and aims at promoting Ghanaian businesses and outdoor.
The maiden fair saw 1000’s of Ghanaians throng the Osu Oxford Street to shop and enjoy the ambiance and local entertainment on display.

The Oxford Street fair initiative has recently been lauded for its innovative platform for businesses by the Association of Ghana Industries who has endorsed the fair and has encouraged its members to fully participate in future fairs.
The Fair which has the Accra Metropolitan Assembly as one of its partners will be held twice every year during the Easter and Christmas season. Over 200 products will be exhibited as the Oxford Street Easter Fair, from the 3rd to 5th of April 2015, with side attractions including local food tables, and a cultural and music expose.
The fair hopes to in the near future rival other international trade and culture festival According to the Project Director of Street Fairs International, the company will this year establish a support wing to help Street hawkers and other start-up businesses of local products partake in all the organizations fairs to support local industry.
Notable among corporate bodies supporting the Oxford Street Easter Fair are Starr 103.5 FM, Cypress Ghana, Olam Ghana Limited, Millicom Ghana Limited, Blue Skies, Bel Aqua, Sanita Consumer Products, 5star Drinks.
