Vodafone Icons Begins Audition In Kumasi, Tamale & Accra #IconsRemix

Telecommunication service provider, Vodafone Ghana has announced auditions for the fourth edition of its ground-breaking music reality show dubbed ‘Icons Remix’.

This year’s edition will give contestants the platform to perform their remixed version of popular songs. The ‘Remix’ edition is driven by Vodafone’s commitment to empower young people to be creative in their quest to become music icons.

The auditions to search for undiscovered talent in the country will begin from Kumasi in the Ashanti region on 23rd August, 2014 at the Golden Tulip Hotel. The search for the next singing superstar will continue in Tamale on 30th August at the Gariba Lodge, and on 6th September at Labadi Beach Hotel.

Interested contestants can also audition online by submitting a video at www.icons.com . All standard video should be in MPEG, MPG, MP4, OGG, MOV, AVI, WMV, M4V and VOB formats.

Additionally, the size of the video should be 30 – 50MB and should not exceed three minutes. The telecom operator said one song should be recorded per video, while a maximum of two videos could be sent by contestants.

Vodafone is expected to launch the ‘Icons Remix edition soon with surprises. The reality show, which started in 2010, has produced amazing singers including Afro Rock singer, Noella Wiyaala.

It Started in 2011 with its maiden edition, Icons Diva, the reality show has seen two other editions; Mixed Edition and the Icons Street Edition.

The past winners are the RnM (2011), Black N Peach (2012) and Ryan Korsah (2013).
