Burna Boy Denies Leaving Record Label

Nigerian raggae-dancehall singer, Burna Boy, has denied media reports that he has terminated his recording contract with budding record label, Aristokrat.

The reports were largely based on the fact that Aristokrat’s imprint was missing in Burna Boy’s new video, Don Gorgon. Also, the artiste, who in July sacked his mother as his manager, is no longer listed as an artiste of Aristokrat records on the label’s social media accounts- Twitter and Instagram.

“There’s always going to be [rumours],” Burna Boy recently told entertainment website, The NET.

Asked if he was still with Aristocrat, Burna Boy said, “Yea, man.”

The “Like to Party” also disclosed plans to release an album.

“I could drop my album tomorrow. I just have a bunch of material but I can’t tell you when I’m dropping it,” he said.

Meanwhile, Aristokat has remained mum over the rumours. Other acts signed onto the label are Pucado, Leriq, Ozone, and Mojeed.
