Ghanaian musician and the King of African Dancehall, Shatta Wale, a few weeks ago announced the commencement of his corporate social responsibility, Shatta Supports, as a way of giving back to society and contributing to the human capital development of the country.
Apart from education and health as priority for this initiative, the controversial Ghanaian musician widely referred to as the “Country Boss” will also be channeling his energy into strategic social intervention projects aimed at empowering the youth.
Shatta Wale and his Shatta Movement team on Friday 1st July 2016 launched the “One Nation One People” campaign at Techiman in the Brong Ahafo region which was attended by chiefs from the Techiman Traditional council and members of the general public.
The “One Nation One People” is a peace advocacy initiative which seeks to promote peace and stability in the country before, during and after the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections in November 2016.
This week, the dancehall king has been in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi, preaching peace ahead of his scheduled concert at the popular Vienna City.

Shatta Wale and his management team embarked on a media tour to grant interviews to propagate the peace message and the need to ensure Ghanaians act in manners that will not result in violence plunging the country into any form of war. Shatta Wale granted live interviews to several media houses including YFM, Luv FM and Kapital Radio.
The multiple award winning musician also spoke about making Dancehall music from Africa more popular and taking his brand to the next level – tapping into the Caribbean music scene and his collaboration with Jamaican musician and member of the Gaza Empire. Shawn Storm.
