Eminem and Rihanna Perform 'The Monster' at the MTV Movie Awards

Duo takes their latest song to the stage for the first time.

"The Monster" came alive for the first time before a live audience, when Eminem and Rihanna took the stage at the MTV Movie Awards, Sunday (April 13).

Rih Rih opened the performance on a smoky stage back lit by red lighting, donning a headband with the word "FEAR" stitched in. It was nothing short of fierce. Emenim then joined her for his three verses of rapid hot fire.

By the end, both he and Rih were completely in the zone; the only thing left was to hug it out.
"As soon as I got the beat, I just heard her on it," Eminem told MTV about their song, their latest collaboration of several. "She smashed it, like she does always. It's pretty incredible."

And now that they've officially christened a venue with their latest collab, fans have an inkling of what's to come on the sure-to-be massive three-date tour the two have planned for later in the year.

In addition to "The Monster" off Em's The Marshall Mathers LP 2, he and Rih have joined forces for "Love the Way You Lie" off Em's Recovery (which they performed together to open the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards); "Love the Way You Lie Part 2," off Rih's Loud; and "Numb," off her Unapologetic.

The co-headlining Monster Tour kicks off August 7 at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles, then heads to the MetLife Stadium in New York, and wraps up at Comerica Park in Em's hometown, Detroit. Tickets are available now via Live Nation.
