Citi Fm’s Jessica Saforo Fumes Over Graphic Showbiz Publication

Accra based Citi Fm’s host of Traffic Avenue and voice over artist Jessica Opare Saforo has reacted to a publication by Graphic Showbiz early this week concerning her relationship and the dealings of her new company, The Voice Ova Company. Read publication by Graphic Showbiz from here : My man is my own business: Jessica Opare Sarfo.
The much adored award winning presenter who until February 2 2014 hosted the much patronized brunch time show Brunch in the citi on Citi Fm disclosed her displeasure at the publication citing cases of misquotation and misinformation.

Read her post on Facebook:

What is the point of granting a newspaper an interview (one which was even recorded) if they will still misquote you? I must say… that today’s publication in Graphic Showbiz is not an accurate reflection of what transpired. And for the life of me… please don’t come and ask me what i really said cos i’m DONE talking about it. for one thing.. The Voice Ova Company does NOT train people on how to be fluent in languages. WTF!!!

The use of the expression WTF which is an abbreviation of “What The Fuck” however attracted mixed reactions from her followers as a section believed she could have controlled her anger and avoided using that expression. Others on the other hand backed her to freely express herself as it was hurting to be misquoted as a public figure.

Read some of the comments from below:
Queenie Akua Darlin Irrespective of the gravity of your anger WTF should not come into the pix. wth your profession, i expect you to know the media better than some of us. WTF is a very crude language and you are the last person i expected using tht jargon on ths platform. does it mean you are poliet only when ur mood is good. let me advise you, the best way to handle anger is silence. after you cool off, you can come out speak about the issue.

Chris Armah If you want to know the true colors of some one , see how he or she react when in anger.

Osei Kwasi Lol..that’s your anger speaking…wtf paa?

Jessica who stood her ground and defended the use of the expression stated ;

Jessica Opare Saforo i cannot use WTF because i work in the media and cannot express my displeasure? LOL! please! what kind of pretentious person would i be? Am i writing a story for a newspaper or simply expressing my disgust at poor journalism? I reserve the right to express myself any way i choose. That being said… thank you for your ‘advise’, and trust me… if you knew the number of things i am silent on, you will not judge me today for my expression. Queenie Akua Darlin we can agree to disagree on this one and i will not hold it against you. come to think of it… i do wonder how you would’ve judged Jesus Christ when he behaved the way he did (in anger) because traders had turned the church into a market place. lol! eii! Girls kasa!Good day

Afriyie Amoakoa Mensah Queenie Akua Darlin Really?,she cannot say WTF?..please allow bcos she is human first and a celeb second.i am sure u do words so please back off and stop hating!and btw,take your own advice and be silent since u have nufin nice to say.Thank u
