Staff of TV3 demand unpaid salaries

Staff of TV3 on Friday demonstrated against management for failing to meet their demands for better conditions of service.

According to the workers, management has neglected their concerns for years hence their decision to demonstrate.

One of the staff who spoke to Citi FM’s Pearl Akanya Ofori on condition of anonymity stated that “TV3 now presently has new managers who are Ghanaians. When they bought the company from the old owners they communicated to the staff that they will not lay off workers, a promise they failed to fulfill. But what is most annoying is that the new management who were affected by the redundancy earlier had their salaries increased by almost five hundred percent.”

‘We are demonstrating because we are demanding that management explains to us why they won’t pay us what is due us per the Collective Bargaining Agreement,’ he added.
Meanwhile Citi News understands management is currently in a meeting with the workers to solve the issues.
