Charter House has apologised for the no-show of Burna boy at the just ended Ghana Rocks concert.
The explanation was contained in a press statement as follows:
The Management, Staff and affiliates of Charterhouse Productions deeply apologize to our many patrons who were at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair Centre, La-Accra on Saturday 29th December, 2018 to experience the heavily advertised music concert, Ghana Rocks 2018.
Billed to perform on the night were R2Bees, Kidi, Kuami Eugene, King Promise, Kwesi Arthur, A.M.G. Medikal, Wendy Shey and many other acts including American R&B Superstar, Jidenna, Fuse ODG and Burnaboy from Nigeria.
As fate would have it however, though all the acts performed on the night as advertised, Burnaboy was not able to make it to Ghana to honour his part of the engagement.

According to his mother who happens to be his manager, Damini Ogulu, better known by his stage name Burna Boy could not perform at the event not out of disrespect to his fans or to Charterhouse but had gotten caught in a stampede at an event the night before and inhaled some tear gas which the police had used to control and disperse the crowds.
This caused an adverse reaction on him that got him rushed to the hospital in the morning, causing him to miss the earlier arranged morning flight to Accra. In anticipation of his discharge, the flight was rescheduled to evening.
When they could not make the evening flight either, arrangements were made for an emergency private charter flight to get him here at all cost for his performance at Ghana Rocks. We were hopeful he would be part of the show as the last act till all efforts fell through at the last minute.
As a firm that has always believed in creating magic at every touch point, we owe it a duty to apologize to you our patrons who were left disappointed, and hope that you find it in your hearts to pardon us.
We would also like to state that in our almost 20years of operation, we have never disappointed fans with a no show as we have always delivered on our promise.
We may be able to prevent many situations in life, but force majeure situations such as these do happen sometimes and are always tough bottlenecks to deal with.
We would appreciate your acceptance of this sincere apology. Thank you
