Nokia 5.1: A Timeless Classic Refined

Continuing with the classic design of the previous generation, the new Nokia 5.1 is understated, compact and effortlessly stylish. The Nokia 5.1 is the successor of one of the premium cell phones in Nokia's ongoing rebound.

With the Nokia 5, Nokia exhibited an unremarkable cell phone that wasn't especially delightful or especially great. Presently Nokia is including the Nokia 5.1, and it's turned out to be evident that the Finnish brand has corrected a portion of its wrongs.

Haptics and workmanship are great illustrations. The metal back is flawlessly strong: it's high caliber and joined with show glass. It gets its structural integrity from a single block of 6000 series aluminium, refined through a rigorous 33 stage process of machining, anodising and polishing to give an exquisite satin finish and feel in the hand.

The size and reasonability are additionally incredible. On account of the display format, it's additionally decent and thin. The new Nokia 5.1 packs a 0.3-inch bigger display in a 2mm narrower body and precise attention to the finest details like harmonising the rounded edges on the screen bezel with the corners of the phone to offer a compact, pocketable experience.

Also, it comes with a higher resolution 5.5-inch Full HD+ display in 18:9 aspect ratio, making watching your favourite content – be it browsing the web, watching your favourite shows, sharing funny memes or gaming - a delightful experience.

The Nokia 5.1 offers good color reproduction and brightness . Even out in the sun, it’s easy to read. However, depending on the viewing angle, bright surfaces can have a strong glare and there’s hardly anything left to see. But the Nokia 5.1 shares this problem with almost all other smartphones.

In other cases, however, the colors are always strong and thanks to the high resolution, you won’t have to endure any blurred letters.

If you wear polarized sunglasses you should beware: if you hold the Nokia 5 in landscape mode, the sunglasses will filter out all the light from the display and you’ll be looking at a black display -  but that’s typical behavior for IPS panels.

When it comes to performance, don’t let your hopes get over the roof. Though you can get by with a little bit of gaming and a few multitasking, the Mediathek chip will quickly reach its limits. It comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory.

For the camera, it pacs 16MP rear camera which has f/2.0 aperture and captures stunning photographs. There are features to help enhance your photographs like phase detection autofocus, dual-LED dual-tone flash, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama and the rest. Videos of 1080p can be shot @30fps, while the 8MP selfie camera has f/2.0 aperture and 84.6° lens as well.

All this is powered with a 2970mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 1.9 hours.

For a low budget device with such specs, GHC808 on the Ghanaian market is not a bad bargain at all.
