Veteran sports commentator Joe Lartey has referred to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation as a petty organization.
Joe Lartey recently in an interview on Starr Chat with Bola Ray on Starr103.5FM disclosed that he worked with Ghana Broadcasting Corporation for eight good years and never received a single promotion in the organization.
Joe Lartey further stated that his pension pay amounts to nothing due to the promotion he was denied back at GBC.
He also added that because the firm is petty a lot of talents have gone down the drain and described the situation as unfortunate.
The renowned sports commentator revealed that he has over the years kept his anger for GBC from the public domain although he feel he wasn’t treated fairly.
Finally he also said that he didn’t receive a single invitation from GBC during its 80th anniversary celebration.
Joe Lartey has contributed a lot to the success of sports commentary in Ghana and through his achievements and active participation in Ghanaian sports has become an ideal role model for every sports journalist and commentator in the country.
