Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, through a new Instagram post, revealed that American rapper, Sean John Combs, also known by his stage name – P Diddy, is his executive producer.
Wizkid is expected to drop his third studio album “Made in Lagos” later this year.
Wizkid is no doubt, one of the most successful, if not the most successful artist out of Africa at this moment. Reaching horizons which would have been far-fetched for African artists some five years ago.
Diddy on his own side, has kept in touch with Nigerians since the start of the year, from putting Falz’ “This Is Nigeria” video on his Instagram page, to wishing the Super Eagles good luck in the 2018 Russia World Cup.
Diddy acknowledging his collaboration with the Starboy is a solid proof that Wizkid has gotten the attention of the global music industry and he’s currently the light shining out of Africa.
