Multi-talented, award-winning actress, singer, presenter, musical director, radio host and MC, Relebogile Mabotja, successfully hosted the 18th Annual National Teaching Awards alongside veteran television anchor Leanne Manas this past Saturday, 17 February 2018 at the Sandton Convention Centre.
The 18th Annual National Teaching Awards which honoured the selfless contributions of the nation’s most dedicated teachers will be broadcasted on SABC 2 in March 2018.

Each year the Department of Basic Education recognises and promotes the extraordinary efforts of some of the country’s most dedicated teachers while promoting and saluting excellence in the teaching profession.
Dignitaries in attendance of the awards on Saturday included the likes of Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshekga; Deputy Minister of Basic Education, Enver Surty; Gauteng Education MEC, Panyaza Lesufi; Minister of Science and Technology, Naledi Pandor; Minister in the Presidency, Jeff Radebe; and MEC Debbie Shaffer just to name a few.
Relebogile Mabotja is a sort after MC having hosted numerous prestigious events across the country and even in other countries such as Ghana. Hosting the 18th Annual National Teaching Awards is just testament to Relebogile Mabotja’s unmatched vast knowledge and enthusiasm as an MC.
Relebogile Mabotja’s hosting of the 18th Annual National Teaching Awards comes shortly after recently adding a new TV show to her already impressive slate of productions. She now produces, and executive produces the weekly show Raising Babies 101 on SABC 2, a weekly talk series for first-time parents and every caregiver in South Africa.
