Meet Nereida Lobo : The Beauty Queen Who Is Dedicated To Empowering Youth All Over

All around the world, various beauty pageants are held to empower women. Aside flaunting their physical beauty, they are also made to go through various routines which make them think outside the box to create long lasting solutions for prevailing problems.

In Ghana, we can think of Miss Ghana, Miss Malaika, Ghana’s Most Beautiful and a host of others. Globally, we can also talk of Miss Universe and Miss World among others.

There are also other pageants which citizens from a country hold in another country. So we can have Miss Ghana USA (For Ghanaians based in US) and others. One of these is Miss Africa USA.

Miss Africa USA Pageant is the biggest and the most publicized pageant that features African women in the United States of America today. The Pageant is grooming a new generation of African women leaders to impact their communities in Africa, America and the rest of the world. That is why as the reigning queen, Nereida Lobo is dedicated to helping African children get educated in Africa and the World at large.

Through her social impact as Miss Africa USA and her humanitarian work in her home country – The Republic of Cape Verde— she has brought an awareness to current issues that shaped her into the woman she is today.

Most of the things she advocates for are as a result of how she grew. Born and raised in Cape Verde, in underprivileged conditions, she has a deep passion to change lives of underprivileged children in Africa through her organization, Little Crowns.

Little Crowns

Little Crowns is an organization that believes in nothing less than empowering less privileged communities for a more promised future. The organization is committed to a vision of giving children the necessary skills and ability to use their minds for a better future.

Little Crowns prevents the degeneration of communities, families and countries by their universal approach by providing educational needs to children in underprivileged communities through donor support.

“I want to be able to help educate children around the world” Nereida Lobo.

Nereida Lobo, aside her philanthropic activities, is a photo/fashion model, with a passion for visual expression of art through the physical form of the body.
