Amandzeba To Be Honoured By Oak Plaza Hotel On August 4

Oak Plaza Hotel has settled on highlife legend, Amandzeba, as the second artist to be bestowed legendary status in its ‘Dinner With the Stars’ event, which seeks to celebrate Ghanaian musicians who have contributed immensely to the the industry.

Amandzeba, who has over 3 decades in mainstream music, is expected to receive the honour in a concert on August 4, 2017 at the premises of Oak Plaza Hotel, Accra.

The artist, who has a plethora of hit songs, with the music group, NAKOREX and as a solo artist; was excited about the honour and upbeat about the music show in August 4th.

Amandzeba is a native of Cape Coast, but was born and bred in Accra, the reason he writes and sings proficiently in the Ga Language. He also speaks several other languages including Hausa, Fante and others.

The Oak Plaza ‘Dinner With The Stars’ is supported by MTN and open to the general public, that would have to purchase a ticket in order to witness the August 4 performance by Amandzeba.

At the event last Wednesday, Mr John Madisson, General Manager of Oak Plaza Hotel, said Amandzeba had won the hearts of many not just through his music but as one of the industry’s legends and as such, the hotel was very excited to give him the honour he duly deserves.

Touching on the criteria used to select the Wogbe Jeke singer, Mrs Samira Anku, Marketing manager of the hotel said Amandzeba was chosen through public voting at the hotel’s weekly barbeque night where patrons hang out every Friday.

There was also of solidarity at the unveiling of Amandzeba as the likes of Diana Hopeson, Adane Best and Kla La were all present to show their support the legendary highlife artist.
