Photos: Links Gh Launches Corporate Wednesdays At Golden Tulip Accra

On 26th of April 2017, a networking event for the corporate community was launched at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra, where the Chief Executive Officer of the United Bank for Africa-U.B.A, Mrs Abiola Bawuah was honoured as the CORPORATE WEDNESDAY C.E.O of the month, April.

Mrs Abiola Bawuah being the first CEO to be celebrated at the maiden edition of CORPORATE WEDNESDAY was presented with a citation that spelt out her hard work and great impact on banking, especially in Ghana. In her acceptance speech, Mrs Abiola Bawuah applauded the THE LINK GH team for what she described as an innovative event and urged them to grow it beyond the boundaries of Ghana.

Presenting the UBA Boss with her citation, the General Manager for THE LINK GH and CORPORATE WEDNESDAY, Mrs Gladys Osei Owiredu explained the focus of CORPORATE WEDNESDAY saying it is set to create the most conducive environment for networking, with an array of QUALITY entertainment for CEOs and the very busy corporate executives both in Ghana and beyond to relax their minds, bodies and unwind to revitalize for the rest of the week after such a mid-week break.She also added that “CORPORATE WEDNESDAY is offering the platform for CEOs to do a thought leadership session every month, where they get to address between 400 to 500 corporate executives and potential clients as well as recruit over a 100 artists every year, with 60% from Ghana, 20% from other African countries and 20% from Europe/ America as the event is scheduled to happen the last Wednesday of every month”.


Organized by the THE Link Gh, CORPORATE WEDNESDAY gave its patrons the platform to network amidst buffet and to celebrate one another as quality Ghanaian songs were dished out by award winning and energetic Sherifa Gunu, Akablay, sensational Yaa Yaa and upcoming act, Stevo Attambire all playing live.

The event was graced by high profiled executives and CEOs from the Banking, Oil and Gas and the Entertainment sectors.

“CORPORAE WEDNESDAY also aims to develop local talents by leveraging on the experience of the world acclaimed musicians who will be in Ghana to nurture and groom these local acts through Master Class lessons” the Chief Executive Officer of THE LINK GH and LEECARS, Peter Eli Markham disclosed.

The next edition of CORPORATE WEDNESDAY event is happening on the 31st of May 2017 at Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra and it promises to be a lot more fun as more C.E.Os are going to be celebrated.
