As part measures to give back to the society and empower young girls from her root the sensational Ghanaian female music icon Mzbel had launched a musical concert dubbed "Mzbel Rockz" aimed at empowering young ladies within the James town community.
The concert launch which took place on Wednesday 10th of February at the Alisa Hotel is scheduled to come on the 1st May, 2016 at the Bukom Square in James town.
Following the massive success and rave review of the maiden Red concert edition which took place on Saturday 7th February 2015 at the National Theatre and as part of a grand scheme to impact society in more meaningful ways through music , Mzbel in further discussion with her team decided to use this platform as a channel to sensitize teenage and young adult within the James town by equipping them with the requisite sex Education through the concert.
Speaking to members of the press Her manager Mr Kwame Kusi indicated that the concert is an open air concert free to everyone and as part a re-branding process to give the concert more leverage, its been rechristened MZBEL ROCkz. He stated that the concert is open for sponsorship.
Delivering her press speech Mzbel emphasized the need to empower young ladies and reiterated her commitment to relief efforts aimed at the empowerment of the young people in James town.
According to her after the success of the Mzbel rockz concert it will be done in other communities also, She encourage the general public to aid in the empowerment of young people.
The Mzbel Rockz concert comes off on the 1st of May 2016 at the Bukom Square in James Town, Accra Ghana.
According to her, they are hoping to replicate the Mzbel Rockz Concert in other communities.
