I USE ‘COCONUT OIL’ AND ‘NKUTO' TO MAINTAIN MY COMPLEXION - YVONNE OKORO

One of Ghana’s talented actress, Yvonne Okoro says she has never wanted to enhance her complexion to heighten her attraction. 

The film producer whose gift cuts across the West African sub-region particularly Ghana and Nigeria told Giovani Caleb on 360Live on Live Fm 91.9 that she uses “coconut oil and ‘Nkuto' to maintain my skin complexion”.

Nkuto is a traditional pomade from West African country, Ghana, made from unrefined shea butter.

Her comments comes in the wake of claims that some Ghanaian celebrities have tempered with their complexion.  

Fellow actor Yvonne Nelson, musicians Gifty Osei and Daddy Lumba and Nasara of Ghana’s Most Beautiful Fame, have all been linked to bleaching. Skin whitening, skin lightening and skin bleaching refers to the practice of using chemical substances in an attempt to lighten skin tone or provide an even skin complexion by lessening the concentration of melanin (natural dark skin pigment).

The award winning actor who is currently making in rolls with her production carrier was on the show to promote her latest work ‘Ghana Must Go’. 

Yvonne Okoro added that she is single and a happy woman. She said her greatest dislike about men is bragging, “I hate guys who brag.” Okoro revealed that her father is her greatest inspiration.
