We have all been living in suspense since the boot camp episode of the MTN Hitmaker 4 was aired last weekend. Most of us could barely wait to see which final 12 had the hitmaker character, to be a hitmaker one needs to be confident, original and basically have the flair, skill and swag for stardom.
After weeks and weeks of auditioning and pruning the 12 finalists who made it out of boot camp were out doored at the National Theater on Wednesday.
It was a charged and electrifying atmosphere; fans of the various contestants had gathered and were chanting and singing as a show of support for their favourite. Whilst some came clad in specially designed t-shirts others carried banners and placards. All those present came to support a contestant and there were not afraid to show it.
When the MCs for the show Peace Hyde and Mawuli Gavor came on, they could instantly feel the energy of the crowd, this energy doubled as the contestants were introduced together with their beat makers.
