Popular Ghanaian nightclub, Aphrodisiac, has been shut down.
Confidence Haugen, CEO of Venus World Limited, the operators of the popular Aphrodisiac Night Club franchise has announced the closure of the Accra branch of the club.
In a Facebook post Monday morning(August 3rd, 2015), Haugen said their actions were necessitated by the “unbearable” effect of the erratic power supply in the country.
“Aphrodisiac in Accra opened a new chapter in her life--and with another chapter to be opened soon…also, the current power crisis in Ghana popularly known as ‘Dumsor’ has become unbearable--affecting the operation of the business,” the entertainment entrepreneur noted.
But, she said, the Kumasi branch will stay in operation as they prepare to set up an outlet in Takoradi.
