Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei has ushered a new sensation into the Africa movie market. The actor has managed to be the only cast in his latest movie titled Last Night and this happens to be the first in Africa.
Last Night is a movie that features a single cast –Prince David Osei, a radio presenter called Bright Mensah, a drug addict married with a son. He’s a dodgy guy who also deals in drugs but uses his radio programme show ‘Truth And Consequence’ as a front.
Now one will ask how can one actor complete a ninety or so minutes movie? Well, that’s what makes it unique. You can’t afford to miss the grand premier.
Bright Mensah not who he really claims to be. After his normal radio session he was seen on his way home when one of his numerous girlfriends called him to pass over for a quickie.
His pregnant wife got kidnapped, same time his girlfriend knocks some with a girl in police custody, the mum gets a heart seizure same time.
After all these frustration and not knowing what to do, he gets into an accident the next thing he’s buried alive in a casket.

All the events in Last Night happened last night according to the actor, hence that led to the choice of title for the one cast movie.
He said: “I was in a car 5 years ago with a colleague actor, I think it was Majid and I asked him if there has ever been a single cast movie in Ghana, Majid said No so I told him I will bring out something of that kind.
After all these years of planning on bringing this dream into reality, I woke up one day and said, no I will shoot this movie next week. So I started calling in the production team and booked them from Nigeria, South Africa and other locations to Ghana for the whole work to begin. And finally we got it all done.”
A PDO production, the movie was directed by Andy Boyo, written by Babatunde and Ghana’s sound engineer, Ephraim was the cinematographer. Last Night premieres at the Silverbird Cinema’s, Accra Mall and WestHills Mall tonight August 21st.
