AfroModTrends, a wholly Ghanaian womenswear brand held high the flag of Ghana as it showcased its latest collection at the recently held Oxford Africa Conference gala dinner at the Oxford Town Hall, United Kingdom.
The Oxford Africa Conference is one of the biggest globally recognized African conferences of its type, organized by the Oxford Africa Society in collaboration with the Oxford Africa Business Network.
In keeping with the theme for this year’s event which was dubbed ‘A Continent on the Move’, AfroModTrends was selected as one of the three (3) most exciting and promising designers on the Africa continent.
Also at the event which attracted several high profile personalities from politicians, top corporate executives and multimillion business owners, was the Ghanaian president, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, who was a keynote speaker.
Speaking about her experience, the
founder and Chief Executive Officer of AfroModTrends, Ms. Ami Yomekpe,
expressed her gratitude to the organizers and all other stakeholders for
the successful execution of the event.
“It was a great
opportunity to meet other young entrepreneurs and business owners who
are passionate about the arts and also keen on changing the world around
them, hence, helping in the development of the African continent. On my
part, I made my statement through my works and the feedback was great. I
thank God for enabling me to raise high the flag of Ghana”.
Established in 2011 with a retail outlet in Accra (close to Photo Club, Osu) in 2013, AfroModTrends is known for its finest ladies casual tops, skirts, chic dresses and fabulous glitzy gowns for woman of every age.
