The nominees’ announcement and Grand launch of the 16th edition of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards took place at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra on Friday, February 27th.
The event saw dignitaries from the music industry, ministries, and current and retired Ghanaian musicians.
The show, hosted by popular Ghanaian satirist, DKB and TV personality Bella saw some impressive performances from Dark Suburb, Pappy Kojo, Koda and Dancehall sensation, Vybrant Faya.
This year, one time BET award-winner, Sarkodie once dominated the nominees list with 10 nominations, followed by Edem and Stonebwoy. Pappy Kojo, Episode, Mzvee, Emilia Arthur, Wiyaala and Vybrant Faya were nominated in the “best New Artiste Of The Year” category.
