Gospel singing sensation, Mina, has said goodbye to the MTN Hitmaker show after she was evicted at the weekend as the grand finale of the music reality show gets nearer.
On 28th November at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), the GH¢100,000 recording, marketing and distribution contract prize will be at stake but unfortunately Mina will not be one of the contestants on the night.
The final five – Snow B, Torgbe, Mac M, Emperor and Naba– will still have to face a final eviction this weekend before the grand finale.
“I did all I could but I guess it wasn’t enough. I have tried so hard to impress and as a gospel artiste to get to this stage I am impressed. I want to do music professionally. I have been to the training college and the university but music is my passion. I thank God for everything,” Mina said.
She stated that she will soon be releasing an album and expressed her gratitude to the judges and fans for their support and encouragement throughout the competition.

On the final day, superstar acts including Kaaki, Samini and VVIP will be thrilling the audience alongside Koo Ntakara and Cano-Z, winner and runner-up, respectively, of last year’s contest; actor and comedian Lilwin and rapper Kofi Kinaata.
“It has been a thrilling season so far,” says judge Bessa Simons. “The contestants have shown reasonable talent and we trust those who make it to the final would really be the best four of the lot.”
The MTN Hit-Maker airs on Saturdays on TV3, eTV, GH One and 4Syte TV from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The programme is repeated on Sundays on Metro TV and Multi TV’s Cine Afrik channel from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
