JESSICA TO NOW HOST DRIVE TIME SHOW ON CITI FM

If you are one of those who stopped listening to the drive time show of 97.3 Citi FM, Traffic Avenue, because those who hosted the show did not impress, you need to tune in now because, Jessica Opare Saforo is in to save the show.

When Citi FM started operating some years ago, I remember, Nii Armah Dagadu was the one who hosted it and those were the days the Citi Drive gave Joy FM's Drive Time stiff competition.  There was a segment called 'Battle of the Sexes' and it was a segment that sought the views of women and men on particular issues in the society. I can say it was one segment that sold the show.

Then later, it got to a time Nii and Jessica hosted the show, to Sammy Forson's era through to when Armani came in, handed over to Nii Kpakpo Thompson, then to another gentleman whose name doesn't readily come to mind.   Information I gathered indicated that people were not happy about how the show was ran after the exit of Sammy Forson and thought that someone who could do better was hired to handle it.
Just last week Jessica Opare Saforo, posted on her facebook page: Henceforth you can catch me on 97.3 Citi FM every weekday from 2- 5.30pm. I am the new and permanent host of 'Traffic Avenue.' Afternoon radio is about to be redefined.”

One could infer from her post that obviously she wasn't happy about how things went on the show and thought, her presence was very necessary. Having monitored her since she resumed that post, I can say that Jessica is the female version of Abeiku Santana.

She is one of the very few female presenters we have in Ghana who can think on the spur of the moment and give out her best to make her listeners happy. She is ever refreshing and comes natural and spontaneous with her presentation. Tune in to Citi 97.3FM and listen to her redefinition of afternoon radio.
