Patience Nyarko Gains Root In Ghanaian Gospel Music

Accra based gospel songstress, Patience Nyarko has carved a niche for herself as far as gospel music is concerned. At a time that most underground musicians are finding it very difficult to find their way through the music industry is when this vocalist Patience Nyarko got it so easy. Patience, as affectionately called is undoubtedly a force to reckon with when it comes to singing gospel and performing as an artiste.

As to how she made it to the top, many have affiliated it to her creativity and maturity. Many have said Patience Nyarko's experience as a musician depicts her success. She has the qualities and personality to represent gospel music on any grounds across the length and breadth of this country.

According to Patience Nyarko, she started singing at her tender age in Assin in the Church of Pentecost but now worships with Destiny House Chapel headed by Bishop T.T.  She was a member of the Church of Pentecost until she came to Accra to join Destiny House Chapel. She started writing her own songs when she didn't even know she would ever come out with her own album until she met Mr. Kumi Wilson who promised to help her come out with her album after listening to some of her composed songs.
No wonder she titled her debut album “Mekasa Ama Awurade” which literally means 'I will speak for God.' The album has eight tracks. It contains songs like 'Onipa Bohye,' 'Ye Twere Wo,' 'Menwu,' 'Mekasa Ama Awurade,' 'Seyiaa,' 'Wa Yeyia,' 'Yefre No Jesus,' among others.

Speaking to Flex Newspaper, she told gospel musicians to be circumspect in their dealings. She also added that gospel musicians should fully prepare both spiritually and  physically so as not to do things any how for the world to make mockery of them.
