FUNNY FACE BEGINS NATIONWIDE EDUCATIONAL TOUR

Award winning comedian, Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, popularly known as Funny Face has embarked on a nationwide tour of schools to educate, inspire and entertain our future leaders.

Beginning in the Greater Accra Region this year, Funny Face has had an interaction with numerous kids from various schools, including primary, junior and senior high and aims at touring about ten thousand schools across all the 10 regions of Ghana by the year 2020.

The nationwide educational tour focuses on empowering the youth grow into strong leaders and help them stay away from drugs.

Explaining why he embarked on this initiative, the ‘Children’s President’ stated that, “Education is and always will be very important in building a strong foundation in one’s life. And as a role model, I want to inspire the youth to be educated” adding that, “this will only help in developing, not only a stronger and healthier community, but a safer one as well”.

Funny Face also stressed on the importance to just say no to bad drugs as teenagers. “Teens can become addicts more quickly than adults. Many teens drink alcohol, use drugs, or smoke cigarettes as a result of peer pressure. All of these substances can harm the teen’s brain and can have problems learning.”
