Peini, the socially conscious cosmetic brand that produces 100% organic products for skin and hair from naturally sourced oils and agro-products indigenous to Ghana and Africa has been nominated for the 2017 GUBA (Ghana UK Based Achievement) Made In Ghana Products Awards.
GUBA is a non-profit Business & Innovation Awards instituted to celebrate, acknowledge, and support business people, celebrities and proud citizens with a shared passion for Ghana as well as individual and collective achievements in the UK’s vibrant Ghanaian community.

“Peini’s passion and commitment to community is in alignment with the GUBA Foundation’s 'Closing the Gap - Infant Mortality' project which aims to help reduce the infant mortality rate among Africans.
In addition to procuring and sourcing ingredients from socially conscious sources and working with widows, orphans and subsistence women farmers to extend the local value chain and provide sustainable markets for local output, Peini has been involved in programs to eradicate and prevent infant malaria with the distribution of its natural shea based Insect Repellent in Ghana’s rural and impoverished communities,”adds Poku who was recently recognized by Coca Cola as one of 60 Young Leaders in Ghana.
Voting for the shortlisting of nominees in each category will end on the 20th April. The final 5 shortlisted will be announced at the Ghana Launch on the 21st of April 2017 while the winner is announced at the main event in London on the 3rd June 2017.
