Cartel Big J a member of the award winning music duo Praye has stated that he started wearing Benash Jeans designs since 2001.
According to the musician his relationship with Benash Jeans has lasted for more than a decade, during their (Praye) youthful days in the music industry Cartel Big J recalled that the designer was the one who clothed them in the Nescafe African Revelations competition the show that propelled them to the limelight.
Cartel Big J added that Benash Jeans is the only clothing line which has championed the use of Denims (Jeans) in Ghana, he disclosed that having a Benash Jeans apparel is something that one cannot keep to himself alone but would want everyone to see.
He made this statement in a documentary on how their 2015 Tigo Unpplugged costume was made by the designer. That event was also instrumental in the comeback of the group after their painful split in 2014.

Cartel Big who is currently married to TV host Selly Galley opined that Ghanaians are beginning to appreciate made in Ghana goods and it is therefore beneficial that Benash Jeans has been able to gain a top spot in the Ghanaian fashion industry.
Although the group is back on track and flourishing it is without their lead singer Choirmaster, Benash Jeans on the other hand has clothed numerous celebrities in Ghana including Funny face, VVIP, BUK BAK, Shatta Wale and Selly Galley.
