Marcio Anderson Da Silva Farrusco, also known as G baby Da Silva is a recording artist, producer, songwriter and sound engineer.
He is originally from Luanda, Angola, born 8th March 1992 and raised by his mother in the shores of South Africa’s beautiful Cape Town. G baby Da Silva is part of Volcanic Music Entertainment, an independent commercial African Hip Hop label based in South Africa bringing together talented producers and multilingual artists.
In November 2011, G baby Da Silva performed ‘To the Top’ on SABC 2 for the RAWkus talent competition on Hectic Nine-9. He made it to the finals of the competition and finished runners up. The experience was one of many learning curves that he and Volcanic ENT had to pass along the way; however, perseverance, determination, and shear will not to fail has allowed the independent group to continue to get better at doing what they love to do.
No Time is one of his hot radio singles that is aimed at targeting South Africa’s mainstream radio, the single is taken from his Hip Hop tape titled “I gotta stay normal”, a tape he would best describe as “an extension of the character from his real life and normal being into the composition of each track through the individualistic personality.”
“The tape brings the Volcanic Music Entertainment family of producers together with other fresh local producers and includes features from Cape Town representatives, Miss Celaneous and Blaq Slim, Volcanic Ent upcoming artist, Dee Monse from the DRC” – ads the rapper.
With this single having a well directed and brilliantly shot music video, there is no doubt that the rising star is set to make a statement in Africa’s music scene.
