Ghanaian, German Theatre Production “The Trial” Hits Goethe Institute On August 5

The growing interest of people and the positive impact of Ghanaian and German Theatre Production plays on them have necessitated and motivated another hilarious play titled ‘The Trial’.

The play curved from the novel “The Process” written by Franz Kafka in the early years of the twentieth century.

It follows the journey of a man (Josef K.) who wakes up one morning and is arrested without being told, what he is accused of.

Josef K. sets out to find out what his trial is all about and encounters an alien world of the court, of women, lawyers, art and the church.

The production is rehearsed in Ghana and Germany, with three actors from each country. And will show it work-in-progress with the Ghanaian actors Dr. So and Jeneral Nta Tea (the famous two idiots) and Mr. Black (Ehalakasa) in this new comical drama on on Friday, August 5, 2016, 7pm at the Goethe institute in Accra.
The play was directed by Simon Eifeler (aka Kwaku Quansah) and supported by the Culture Department of the City of Duesseldorf (Germany), the Goethe Institute in Accra and the School of Performing Arts (University of Ghana).
