Over the past 9 years, The Sbusiso Leope Education Foundation popularly known as SLEF (www.slef.co.za), hosts annual bursary drives to fundraise for students’ tertiary tuition.
This year, SLEF will host its first annual Bursary Drive Concert taking place this Sunday, 7th February, 2016 at Dries Niemandt Park from 10am till 10pm. Entrance fee is R120 for general access and R1000 for VIP, with 100% of all proceeds going towards students’ tertiary tuition.
SA’s top artists and personalities have come on board to feature and perform at the event at no cost, all in the name of education. The artists and personalities in question are:
Zahara, The Muffinz, Muzart, Donald, Emtee, HHP, Riky Rick, Fifi Cooper, Reason, Siya Shezi, Stilo Magolide, Towdeemac, DJ Shimza, Lulo Cafe, Zan D, Adil, DJ Malwela, Infinite Boys, Rick Da Shades DJs, AJ, C9ine, DJ Zai Maya, DJ Mr X, DJ Da Kruk, Exquisite Vince, Manaka Ranaka (Generations), Akhumzi, Gigi Lamayne, DJ Zan-D, Connie Chiume (Rhythm City), Siphiwe Mtshali (Rhythm City), Dj Mgiftana, DJ Mzimela, DJ Shluda, Shaun Stylist, Rashid, MotlotloB2K, Kido, Khanyi Magubane, Skinny Sbu Socks, Ntsiki Miss SA 2nd Princess 2015, FabFutur3 & Caddy!
The aim of the concert is to give people the opportunity to come experience South Africa's creative talent and party for a good cause for the underprivileged excelling matric Class of 2015.
SLEF (www.slef.co.za) is a 10 year old Award Winning South African Non-Profit Organisation led by Ekurhuleni born South African Social Entrepreneur & Entertainer, Sbu Leope. The SLEF Annual Bursary Drive Campaign happens every January/February to raise bursaries and/or funds for students. To date, 382 bursaries have been given away.
“The SLEF aims at meeting the needs of disadvantaged learners through educational assistance. We give talks in high schools, run mentorship and feeding scheme programmes, as well as run yearly bursary campaigns to assist students, with the help of willing and able individuals and companies” shares Sbu Leope about his foundation.
The SLEF Annual Bursary Drive Concert taking place this Sunday has partnered with Doves Funeral Services, Mofaya Energy Drink, Ekurhuleni Creative Council, City of Ekurhuleni, Enlightened Security and Chesanyama.
The expected attendance at Sunday’s Bursary Drive Concert is 300 VIP guests and no less than 5000 people.
