A Piece Of Peace : Merry Christmas

Hello and welcome to a Piece of Peace, your weekly dose of motivation and inspiration. This week I would like to wish all my beautiful faith builder family a very “Merry Christmas”.

We have made it to yet another beautiful year so far and the support and love from all of you has been tremendously appreciated. I have had some good criticisms, some negative ones and some encouraging ones as well and I thank each and every one of you for taking the time to provide your feedback and for continuing to read a Piece of Peace. For me this time is always special.

Christmas signifies a time where we remember the reason we are all here. It is the time where we became whole and our imperfections no longer matter. We celebrate the birth of Christ and for all Christians reading this, you understand the true impact of how God has transformed each and every single one of us.

During this period, it is important to remember, no matter how your year has been so far, every single thing that has happened to you was designed to help you and not to break you down.

The fact that we are all alive this season shows you yet again how far you have come. This is the season of love and giving and I truly believe the biggest gift you can give to anyone is the gift of joy and happiness.

No matter where you are today, your existence can bring so much joy to someone out there. It may be a friend, a family member or even a stranger who might just be counting on you for a helping hand. Let your life be a blessing to others this season. Let us learn to be selfless and reach out to give a helping hand to anyone out there who has spent the year withering the storm.

Someone out there is counting on your words of motivation or a kind act from you to help them see tomorrow. Together, this season, we can all make a difference.  It will surprise you what a simple act of kindness can mean to someone. A friend of mine this week was sharing with me a story about how she saw a groundnut seller on the street one day running to meet a customer who was driving off. She lost her footing and dropped her daily supply of groundnuts.

My friend felt sorry for her and gave the lady 40 Ghana Cedis and continued about her day. Two weeks later she met the woman on the same street. When she saw my friend the groundnut seller broke down crying and thanking her. Her daughter was terribly I’ll and she needed exactly 40 Ghana Cedis to have a life saving operation. That was the day my friend gave her the money. Without that money she would have lost her child.

My friend was so moved. That is the power a simple act of giving and by default kindness can mean to someone. I encourage you faith builder family, open up your heart and show someone out there the true meaning of christmas. I wish you all a very merry Christmas and remember to always be yourself because everyone else is taken.

Much Love,

Peace Hyde.
