Guest Feature: The Case Of Reggie N Bollie And The X Factor Dream !!!

My dear Mrs and Ms ministers of Ghana’s Creative Arts, How much will it cost The Ministry Of Tourism Culture and Creative Arts, the most important sector ministry in the history of incompetence, to just appeal to the general public to Vote for Reggie N Bollie who are Ghanaian migrants putting some well needed competent ‘face’ to our otherwise incompetent and miserable lives in the world acknowledged talent show staged in England known as The X Factor?

I am reliably informed that if one downloads the X-Factor app, a single voter attempt equals five votes.

What do you do there as work when you report to ministry as Minister and deputy Minister?

It is not beyond you to just issue an official statement and let The Ghana New Agency syndicate it across the length and breadth of Ghana. Aloo? Hey. Even GBC could do lend some support. They are very okay now.

If that is hard work, a simple personal phone call to Messrs Ebenezer Nana Yaw Donkoh Ebenezer Anangfio Samuel Baah Flex Newspaper Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo could prove equally, if not more valuable to the fortunes of these young men raising the flag of ‘this’ Ghana.

To be fair, Deputy Minister Abla Dzifa Gomashie, posted some thing related to canvassing for votes for #ReggieNBollie. But a cursory read of that appeal exposes you even more as an ordinary Facebook account holder who happens to be Ghanaian so must be excused for wallowing in the excitement alone. You are not a mere Ghanaian passport holder. You are supposed to be widely read, well informed and abreast with trending issues that inform the fate of your subjects. No excuses.

As for substantive minister and Boss of Creative Arts and Tourism, Mrs Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare, your father died not too long ago so you are still ‘competently bereaved’. I have seen the efforts you are spending to help promote PANAFEST on the official Facebook timelines of the ministry. Obviously you are entirely unaware of Reggie and Bollie. If i dare ask who Simon Cowell is, you might be grossly offended. No worries. #dontvex

Indeed it is not scientific that such a rally call would automatically win the competition for our comrades but it most definitely would  boost their voting scales and chance of reducing the number of stakeholders firmly etched within the poverty ‘bracket’ under your ministry.

If for nothing at all, why you guys passing up an opportunity to prove competent?

In terms of politics and especially during these times, why are you women not seizing this once in a life time event to be more useful to Prez Mahama?

I sincerely do not know what you do to help your Boss who has been extensively tagged as ‘incompetent’. I am most certainly not competent enough to know but can’t you honorable women in all sincerity lend support without being ‘what you are’? 😏

In the very least, these young men would become more popular locally and their relatives and dependents here in Ghana could pride themselves with the affiliation even more than they already have. Popularity is about numbers and within Showbiz almost certainly reflects in the appreciation of their arts. In other words they could be hired to perform and be paid descent fees for their troubles.

Honorable Minsters, these are hard times.

A little competence even if not sincere could go a long way to make some of us forget that we are stuck with you lot.

With Love from Aburi. #stillwerise
