Ghanaian TV & radio personality Berla Mundi, in a move to give back to society is putting together a major charity event this December.
‘The Christmas Orphanage Games- every child deserves to smile’ under her Berla Mundi Foundation is in collaboration with ‘Ahaban GLF, and is slated for Sunday, 27th December 2015 at the Wonder Sports Complex, Sakumono.
The Christmas Orphanage Games seeks to bring together three orphanages with a total of about one hundred and fifty (150) kids to engage in various fun activities and competitive games with the aim of putting a smile on their faces and helping them believe that they also deserve to celebrate Christmas just like every other child. The event will be organized annually after this very first edition.
They will also be treated to some food and drinks, an appearance by Father Christmas bearing gifts. The orphanage that emerges winner takes home souvenirs from sponsors and prizes from organizers.
Among gifts to be given for the competitions are pens/pencils and sharpeners, school bags, exercise books, and toys.
