Addressing the plight of dancers as well as the art itself in Ghana continues to be a major bottleneck, however, an "All Dancers & Dance Seminar" is set to tackle this.
It will be staged under the theme "Ghana Dance Industry: Dead or Alive" and will see players in the industry engage themselves in a discussion that will harness the building of a vibrant dance industry.
This program will take place at the Christ the King Parish Hall opposite the Flagstaff House in Accra on Friday, October 17, 2015 between 8.30 - 12.00pm. Admission to this seminar is free.
In attendance will be representatives from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Employment & Labour Relations, Ghana Dance Association, School of Performing Art (UG-Legon), Department of Theatre Arts(UEW-Winneba), dance institutions and equally important industry stakeholders.
According to the CEO of CA-IM, Mr. Robert Klah, "the event is being hosted to address pertinent issues in the country's dance industry as he noted during the launch of the festival in July."
