Dzign Apparel will unveil its avant-garde collection of tee shirts, sweatshirts, Merchandise, hooded tops and sportswear for the first time in Ghana, this month.
Dzign Apparel is a company founded by Businessman and GUBA Awards Head of Designs – Darren Awuah.His arrival in Accra is part of a grand project to introduce his critically acclaimed collection to the Ghanaian Fashion industry.
For a man who lives and works thousands of miles away from Ghana’s Capital Accra, his newest collection is telling of a man who has his heart at home in Ghana. With vibrant shades of Ghana’s colours red, gold and green, his collection boasts of eye-catching hand print designs that are sure to get fashionistas drooling.
Awuah says his designs focus more on the Ghanaian identity and personality and are designed in a way that makes them fun to wear.
“This collection was designed with Ghana as the central inspiration. We hope through the use of these radiant colours to re-ignite a sense of pride in Ghanaians” - he adds.

After considering architecture, Darren chose to become a technical illustrator. He enrolled for a BTEC First Diploma in Design, followed that with a National Diploma in Technical Illustration at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication, London and capped it with a BA Honours Degree in Visual Communication Design at Middlesex University in the United Kingdom.
Now a renowned digital illustrator and a fashion designer, Awuah runs D-Art Factory and its fashion outfit, Dzign Apparel, two thriving businesses in London. He has illustrated for renowned publishers in the United Kingdom such as Brown Bear Books, Dorling Kindersley, Aerospace Publishing and Eaglemoss Publications.
He is an influential member of the GUBA Awards and GUBA Foundation teams and the orchestrator of the 52 page brochure for the 5th GUBA 2015 Awards.
