Photos: Mzvee Unveiled As Brand Ambassador For New Trendy Malt, Beta Malt From ABL And Voltic

Accra Brewery Limited, (ABL), in collaboration with its sister company, Voltic (GH) Limited (Voltic), has officially launched Beta Malt, months after the soft launches of the brand in Kumasi, Bolgatanga, Tamale and Wa. 

The event which was characterized by glitzy moments of entertainment, at the ABL’s Club 31 premise also saw the official unveiling of Mzvee as the brand ambassador of the non-alcoholic beverage.

Prior to the commencement of the event, trade partners of the two companies consisting, Key Distributors, Wholesalers and Retailers were conducted round ABL’s newly inaugurated multi-million dollar packaging facility.

The novel product which is produced with the finest raw materials was designed with a touch of class, having been packaged on the newly installed state-of –the- art, UD$15m Sparkling Soft Drink (SSD) Packing line, which produces 32,000 bottles per hour. The brand which adds to ABL’s non-alcoholic brand portfolio has been designed in a handy 330ml PET pack offering consumers and customers convenience at an affordable price.

Speaking at the event, General Manager of Voltic, Phil Redman reaffirmed the two companies’ commitment to actively drive superior growth by focusing on the needs of the   consumers, customers and communities which include affordability and convenience. He added that the introduction of Beta malt onto the Ghanaian market lends credence to the fact that ABL and Voltic Ghana were major forces in the alcoholic and non-alcoholic industry in the country.

“Providing a high quality malt in PET is not easy, and today is the culmination of a number of years of hard work. We have learnt from our past experience and other SAB Miller businesses around the world and invested $15m in a world class production facility. The ultramodern new plant is a testament to our drive to invest in quality and bring innovation to the Ghanaian market.”

Miss Ama A. Armah, Brands Manager of Beta Malt expressed appreciation to Ghanaians for supporting both ABL and Voltic in their many years of operations in Ghana. ‘‘Both companies will work diligently to justify the trust Ghanaians have reposed in our brands in our many years of successful operations in the country’’, she assured.


Rationalizing the choice of Mzvee, Ms. Armah, indicated that the company took into accounts the professionalism and the strides of the relatively young career of Mzvee, stressing that such values were akin to that of the new Beta malt brand. ‘‘It is therefore not out of place the choice of this young achiever for a brand ambassador, she added’’.

Mzvee expressed appreciation to the company for the confidence reposed in her, promising to leverage her high youth following to further the marketing objectives of Beta Malt.

The novel Beta Malt will be marketed by both companies at retail price of Gh¢2.50. Beta malt can be enjoyed by all consumers and be purchased across the country from pubs, bars and other sales outlets.
