To The People Who Make The Stars In Ghana

When it comes to entertainment, Ghana is a country blessed with so many talents and crafts, from singing, dancing, acting, and painting down to playing instruments.

But among millions of talented Ghanians, just a few are able to make it to the limelight and get the nation's attention even though divine intervention and the individual's hard work plays a major role in the celebrities (musician, presenters, DJ’s, Actors and Actresses ,politician) rise to stardom.

There are individuals in the background who work tirelessly to promote these individuals, and I am not talking about their producers, presenters, record label or managers, though they playing a major role.

I'm talking about the young men and women who are not seen most of the time, hardly heard talk less about being recognized on the televisions, radio and print media, but work hard to get the news to out readers early and fast on their websites, blogs, newspapers and on social media.

I'm talking about the bloggers who will stay awake late in the night to write articles right after shows to break the news first or will upload the songs and push it till it gets attention or a sizable number of downloads to bring to the an artistes' name, talents, acting skills or song to public.

And camera men or women who will make sure he or she captures every exciting moment of public and that of celebs to give people a feel of the show or to give the event attendee something to remember, and those who missed it a recap of the show.

Sadly enough, sometimes these selfless hard working individuals are sometimes seen as a nuisance by event organizers, audience and performers, with some being physically abused by some event security or the audience for blocking their view whiles trying to capture a moment.

Other celebrities who have had an overdose of fame disrespect these media men by insulting them as if they wrote, published and paid for all the articles about them on the countless websites in the country.

Surprisingly, after some of these ordeals, they still go back to work creating more stars, promoting the existing ones and spreading the songs and information on these celebrities who most of the time haven’t paid them, given them a word of appreciation and don’t know them.

These are the people who create the stars or let's say bring them to the limelight.

These are the people am talking about and If am to mention names, I sure will need a foolscap notebook and a couple of hours more the 24 that makes a day... and may even forget a couple of names.

I say well done, even though there is more to do, I say good job for every article you wrote, for every song you posted, for every analysis you contributed and every stand you took for someone other than yourself to be heard .

To those organizing awards for these unsung heros, I say thank you for recognizing their hard work.

And to the celebrities and the general public who complain that they don’t get enough push, am sure if these men and women are motivated they will get the job done.
