Ghana’s alternative rock band, Dark Suburb have emerged as winners of the “Unsung” category of the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
This was announced at the KFC Ghana So Good Music Lounge held on Tuesday, April 7th,2015.
The mysterious band won in the category amidst stiff competition from the likes of the “Oseey” hitmaker Nero X as well as Koo Ntakra, MzYankey, Luther, and Kingzkid.
All the six (6) nominees performed, with the MTN Hitmaker season 2 winner, Koo Ntakra getting the act under way. The ceremony which took place at the Oxford Street, Osu branch of KFC was hosted by J.O.E.L. of Accra-based Y 107.9 FM.
The win means that the band that thrilled all at the grand launch of this year’s event on Friday, February 27th will once again entertain audience at the main awards night of the VGMAs this Saturday.
This year’s event comes off at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on Saturday, April 11th, 2015.
