GHAMRO yesterday finally had a peaceful election
which elected a 13 member Board to oversee the operations of the Society for
the next two years. The election took place at Accra, Kumasi and Tamlale after attempt
for another injunction by ace musician Gyedu Blay Ambolley, C.K. Morrision and
Ama Afriyie failed.
In all, 18 persons contested for
various positions in the election, including Chairman, Deputy Chairman, and
Board Members.
At the end
of a grueling 10 hour round of voting and counting, the Music maestro Kojo
Antwi and other contestants who carried the day was sworn in by Paa Kow Sessa,
the Receiver Manager Representative.
