Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited Launches Star Lite Beer

Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) in line with its commitment to delight consumers with fantastic new premium drinks rooted in identified consumers’ insight, has launched Star ‘Lite’ Beer; Ghana’s first Lite beer – a premium quality beer with less carbs, less calories and less alcohol. 

It has an amazing taste and a contemporary look.

Star ‘Lite’ Beer, locally produced in Ghana is distributed throughout the country and available in 625ml and 330ml bottles. Speaking at the launch, Kweku Sekyi-Cann– Marketing Director of GGBL said, ‘Innovation continues to be one of our key pillars of growth and we acknowledge that consumers are looking for premium beers that reflect their lifestyle choices.

Star ‘Lite’ is targeted at consumers who want everything in life and are on top of their game. Star ‘Lite’ gives these consumers an alternative to regular beer for all drinking occasions. It is extra cold brewed and ice cold filtered to give it a crisp refreshing taste. It also has about 30% less calories than regular beer with a 4% Alcohol by Volume (ABV) and has No Added Sugar.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Peter Ndegwa –Managing Director of GGBL said “We are proud to introduce Ghana’s first Lite Beer – Star Lite, made with only natural ingredients and has No Added Sugar.

The beer has about 30 percent less calories than regular beer with a 4-percent alcoholic level and has no added sugar.

It comes with a special cold protection crown cork that locks in the freshness of the beer inside the bottle. It also has an innovative temperature sensitive label that turns blue when the beer is cold enough to drink.
