"DOUBLE CROSS" Wins Double At The GMAs And Set To Premiere On 6th Of February, 2015

The must watch Ghanaian romantic movie - DOUBLE CROSS recently won two awards at the just concluded Ghana Movie Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre on the 30th of December, 2014.

The movie which had laudable reviews from movie enthusiasts and pundits alike, and had top notch celebrated award winning actors and actresses such as Ama K. Abebrese, John Dumelo, Adjetey Anang, Jasmine Baroudi, Paulina Oduro and veteran actor Samuel Odoi-Mensah, won Best Cinematography and Best Make-Up & Hair Styling.

With the premiere of this movie coming up soon here in Ghana in the month of love, the public are set to see the beauty of excellence as the 6th of February, 2015, is a date at the Silverbirds Cinemas both at the Accra and Weija Mall as well as the West Hills Mall.

The intriguing story goes thus, Effie Howard’s (Ama K. Abebrese) life is dramatically turned upside down when her fiancé Ben Boateng (Adjetey Anang) is convicted and sentenced for a crime he did not commit. Determined to prove his innocence; she carried out her own investigation and finds the actual robber; Danny Frimpong (John Dumelo).

She threatens him but offers him a deal; to rob the bank again with similar methods. They are successful in the robbing the bank, Effie now sets her sights on a jewellery warehouse and she wants Danny to rob it.

With a lot of jewellery and money at stake, each one of them tries to outwit each other with medleys of smart thinking as they plan and execute the robberies, but no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare them for the dangerous enemy, an enemy Effie least expected and never saw coming with surprising twist.

The movie is directed by one of the prolific directors of our time, Pasacal Aka and produced by D R Kufuor and Ama K Abebrese.
