Six Big Brother Africa Knockouts With IK (@ik_osakioduwa) #LetsGoAfrica

After six stellar seasons as the presenter of Big Brother Africa, MC extraordinaire and fan favourite Ikponmwosa Osakioduwa, better known as the inimitable IK, tells incoming housemates to "try being yourself". We reckon he is on to something.

We’re capping Season 9 of Big Brother Africa and every Sunday night for the duration of the season, the witty IK welcomes scores of fans across the continent who tune into the live show, with a warm smile and a bag of chuckles, twists and turns to entertain.

IK’s career took shape on a mixing desk behind a microphone as a radio presenter. This was where he picked up the nickname "The Wild Child", because of his witty and tongue-in-cheek manner. It was no surprise that the renegade backup radio presenter, who landed his first break on air when he was called to fill in at Rhythm 93.7 fm in Nigeria, would enjoy a meteoric rise to being a sought-after radio and TV presenter.

Known for his candid and charismatic personality, IK never shies away from the testy Q&As and the hot topics with the housemates. That’s why we love him!

As Big Brother Africa grows, Season 9 is sure to bring us a newly styled and newly suave IK. With the help of talented Nigerian fashion designer Mai Atafo, IK’s wardrobe will enjoy an upgrade to tailored men’s wear with a proudly African flair.

A Hotshot himself, Africa has grown fond of his cavalier presenting style. When asked "where to from here?", the presenter said he wants to be an MVP – Most Valuable Player – in his career to his fans and to the brands he represents.

We look forward to our favourite anchor doing his thing, only this time oozing ounces of style.

Big Brother Hotshots launches on Sunday 5 October 2014 at 19:00 CAT on AfricaMagic DStv Channel 150. Follow the action in the lead-up to the premiere on Twitter @BigBroAfrica , by liking the Big Brother Africa Facebook page and following us on Instagram @BigBro_Africa .
